Today I talk a little bit about what it’s like to navigate what’s known as ambiguous loss. It’s painful and confusing, but I encourage you to try and find meaning in it and keep going.

Sometimes what feels like an ending is just the middle of the story. I’m choosing to believe that’s where I am. Whatever it is in your life that still feels unfinished…the person, the dream, the door that closed too soon…I’d challenge you to believe there are more chapters left.

Day 8 of my excursion was the last one before head

Day 8 of my excursion was the last one before heading “back to life, back to reality”. Turns out, it was also @johnsplithoff ‘s final date for his East coast tour. Rekindling my love for making music was a running theme through this excursion, so it seemed perfect to end it seeing a guy whose music more or less became the soundtrack to the last year of my life. I tinkered with hanging around afterwards and telling him about how his music had brought me back to my first true passion this year (well…that and a girl…but nobody needs to hear that story), but it seemed more fitting to end my excursion singing “Sing to You” with him and a couple hundred of his most devoted fans.
